Madhusudan is corrupting Swami's teachings
Swami said that unless we get rid of our pride and ego, we will never be able
to reach liberation.
The question every one of Madhusudan’s followers has to ask themselves is this:
How do they expect to reach liberation, when according to Sathya Sai Himself,
Madhusudan's teachings are wrapping them in ego and poisoning them with pride?
Madhusudan claims to speak for a spirit, which he and his followers name 'Sukshma' Baba, the subtle Baba. They claim this spirit is Sathya Sai Baba. But comparing Swami's teachings to Madhusudan's imitation subtle body teachings shows that the only thing subtle here is the subtle way Madhusudan is corrupting Swami's teachings.
Swami taught that God is the doer and that He needs no help; He just gives us an opportunity to purify ourselves of ego, though selfless service. Madhusudan teaches that his followers are the ones who are really making Swami's mission happen. Swami labeled this "I am the doer' idea as ego and said that it is poison. Madhu builds up their pride by telling them that they are higher and purer than other devotees, that they are the chosen few who are carrying on Swami's mission.
Yet Swami said that one with pride cannot discover their true nature and thus reach liberation:
Pride of wealth is another grievous human failing, which causes the downfall of man. All forms of pride, based on birth, wealth, power or scholarship, have to be given up totally. Only when egotistical pride is offered as a sacrifice at the altar of the Divine can man discover his true nature. This is the dedication that is called for as the first step in the spiritual journey.

Madhusudan's followers proudly proclaim how much service they are doing. Yet Swami said that such pride poisons the sadhana of service, which is meant to get rid of our pride and ego:
Our attitude during a service activity determines whether or not the service helps us grow spiritually. Service performed with a sense of pride or superiority may help the person we are serving, but it does not help us. Do not pollute your service with the poison of pride.

Tyāga (sacrifice) is essential for rendering dedicated service. Pride is the first evil trait that has to be renounced. Getting rid of bad qualities is real sacrifice. It is also yoga.

The worship of jeeva (individual being), which is the other name for seva, can be worthwhile only when the heart is pure. All the various types of service that one may write and talk about are mere empty, boasts if the mind of the sevak (volunteer) is not pure. A heart bubbling with ananda and a mind saturated with love may do any tiny bit of seva, yet that will win much more Grace than huge projects undertaken in pride and pomp.

Swami actually said that God's Grace will come when service is done without expectation of reward and that pride does come while service is being done, but that it should be completely eliminated.
God’s grace will come when sevā (selfless service) is done without expectation of reward or recognition. Sometimes ahaṃkāra (egoism) and abhimāna (false pride) rear their heads during sevā. These should be eliminated altogether.

Madhusudan's followers boast about their service activities to anyone who points out that Madhusudan is trying to change Swami's teachings. Unfortunately, boasting about service activities which are supposed to remove ego and pride defeats the very purpose of that service and in the process, pollutes the service activities.
Ignoring Swami’s teachings, Madhusudan’s followers boast of their service activities and Madhusudan's organisation publicises their service activities in every possible way - media, Facebook and Twitter, through their imitation of Radio Sai, Sanathana Vani, through their publications and the public talks given by Madhusudan and his accomplices. These service activities are held up as evidence of Swami’s presence. But if the simple ability to construct buildings was proof of Divinity then any number of property developers around the world would be able to claim that privilege! Did Swami say that projects were proof of who He is?
Unfortunately, none has been able to realise My true nature. They pretend to have understood My mind, but none could comprehend it in the least. They look to the outward manifestations only. They talk of My programmes and activities in the outside world only. They are unable to realise My divine love at all, which flows from the depths of My heart.

But the real question about Muddenahalli’s service activities is this: Can the service activities done by Madhusudan’s followers be the selfless service which Swami taught, when their service is used in order to win acclaim and gather new followers? Madhusudan claims that the service activities his followers do is proof of Swami's presence and thus their service is advertised to convince devotees of Madhusudan's claims. Since they are seeking to get something out of their service, it is not selfless. It is an activity indulged in for reward. Since they seek the fruits of the action, it binds them to the law of karma more tightly. Yet, they continue to boast about their service, without realising the harm they are doing to themselves. Swami labels this kind of prideful boasting as a fatal weakness and those who make such prideful boasts as ludicrous and pitiable:
Another fatal weakness is dambha (conceit, egoism, pride), the desire to be talked about, to be praised; people take delight in tom-tomming their achievements and capacities. This makes them ludicrous and pitiable. They want that their names and deeds should appear in the daily papers in big bold letters, as big as My head of hair! But it is not in the newspapers that you should strive to get attention. Earn status in the realm of God; earn fame in the company of the good and the godly, progress in humility, in reverence of elders and parents.

HOW MADHUSUDAN RAO NAIDU AND NARASIMHA MURTHY DISTORT,
TWIST, AND CORRUPT BHAGAWAN SRI SATHYA SAI BABA'S WORDS
By an Australian devotee
In many different countries around the world, the true legacy of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba is being distorted and twisted, due to the misled followers of Madhusudan Naidu, who are translating and publishing MADHU’S words in various languages. Of course he alleges that these words are the words and teachings of Sathya Sai Baba. However, we all know that is NOT TRUE.
These misled followers are beginning to sell and distribute these Madhu books in their own countries. To declare Swami as the author of these Madhu books is absolute fraud. Madhu's karmic burden gets heavier and heavier as he leads more and more people astray from the True Sai and His Sacred Legacy. Due to Madhu's corruption of Sai's teachings, there needs to be a serious effort to protect and preserve the true Divine legacy of Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. As the Purna Avatar, His authority to reveal spirituality to humanity goes uncontested.
An Australian devotee shares one such example of how Madhu’s talks are actually wrong, and misguiding many new devotees. He writes, in response to an email sent to him:

An Australian devotee shares one such example of how Madhu’s talks are actually wrong, and misguiding many new devotees. He writes, in response to an email sent to him:
The Leaders of the Muddenahalli Group Contradict Swami
What this person is referring to in their email is the quote by Madhusudan on this website:
"EVERY ONE IN THIS WORLD HAS FOUR TYPES OF BODIES: STHOOLA SHAREERA - THE PHYSICAL BODY; SOOKSHMA SHAREERA - THE SUBTLE BODY; ATHI SOOKSHMA SHAREERA - THE HIGHER SUBTLE BODY; AND PARA SOOKSHMA SHAREERA - THE OMNIPRESENT SUPER SUBTLE BODY." (-Madhusudan Naidu)
While Madhusudan claims that this is what Baba's 'subtle body' told him, it is of course not what Swami said.
The five bodies the person is referring to are the pancha koshas - literally five bodies, which Swami mentioned extensively in His discourses. These are:
1- Annamayakosha - physical body composed of the grossest part of the food we eat.
2- Pranamayakosha - the body composed of the life-force of the physical body.
3- Manomayakosha - the mental body
4- Vijnanamayakosha - the body composed of the intellect and
5- Anandamayakosha - the bliss body
Swami also tells us that the subtle body is composed of:
1- the Pranamayakosha - the life-force of the physical body,
2- the Manomayakosha, the mental body and
3- the Vijnanamayakosha, the intellect
He also said that the subtle body disintegrates on the death of the physical body and He described this process: He said that when the physical body dies, the Pranamayakosha dissolves into the Manomayakosha, the Manomayakosha into the Vijnanamayakosha and the Vijnanamayakosha into the Anandamayakosha.
This Anandamayakosha Swami tells us is also known as the Karana Sharira or Causal body. Swami told Dr John Hislop that it is the Causal body that survives, carrying with it the seeds of the next birth.
It is clear from this that the subtle body does not survive after death and the reasons for Madhusudan's claims that it does are best known to him. Swami didn't teach that the subtle body survives as Madhusudan claims. He taught that the Karana Sharira, the Causal body, alone survives death.
Dr Charanjit Ghooi recounts in one of her books that Swami told an interesting story during a series of discourses in 1984. He said that some men had gone to a public house in Bangalore and there they drank contaminated alcohol, which killed them. Swami said that as He was driving past this place, He could see their Karana Shariras hovering around the public house, trapped there by the desire for alcohol.
However Swami is not a trapped spirit like the ones He described in His discourse and is not hovering around Madhusudan in an attempt to satisfy unfulfilled desires, like completing His 'unfinished' mission as Madhusudan claims.
I was there at Shivarathri in 2009 when Swami Himself said that all Avatars lived in their bodies until the completion of their Avataric mission and only once their task was done did they leave the body. He actually restated it later in the discourse, saying, "Avatars come, fulfill their mission, and disappear." This is something that Swami stated time and time again in His discourses. Swami did not fail to complete His mission, no matter what Madhusudan may believe.
Regarding His own mission, Swami stated in 2006 that, "My mission is already accomplished. I’m only letting it unfold before your eyes." Again, I was blessed to be there at Shivarathri in 2009 and hear Swami Himself say that after leaving the body, He would simply remain as the Divine Atma, His Natural State. And yet people choose to believe Madhusudan's claims about an invisible subtle body rather than Swami Himself.
About the twisting of Swami's words, all I can say is this. If we feel that we are devotees of Swami, shouldn't we trust Him? If we trust Him, shouldn't we therefore believe Him before placing our faith in someone who claims that Swami is now doing things that Swami Himself said He would never do? Things like speaking through a medium and teaching things that totally contradict the teachings He gave during His entire life? Things like claiming that Baba has left Puttaparthi and is living permanently in Muddenahalli, thus breaking His repeated promise that He would never leave Puttaparthi? Things like claiming that Sathya Sai Baba only taught primary school spirituality when Swami said of His teachings that "the entire essence of the Vedas is contained in them. The essence of all the Sastras (spiritual texts) is to be found in Swami's words" (SSS 39.13).
Things like claiming that those who do not understand his teachings will perish? Things like claiming that those who follow him are the chosen ones, while those who don't follow him are not following their conscience. Things like soliciting donations?
If we are devotees of Swami and we trust Him, shouldn't we believe His statement that He had already completed His mission and would remain as the Atma after His body disappeared, rather than Madhusudan's claim that He is lingering like some kind of bound soul trying to complete an unfinished mission via a subtle body? A subtle body that He told us disintegrated after the death of the physical body? How can believing the claims of someone who contradicts Swami, rather than Swami's own words, make any sense at all to one who puts their faith in Swami?
Here are the quotes from Swami about the subtle body which I was referring to above. Here Baba tells us that the subtle body disintegrates after death, that it is composed of the pranamaya, manomaya and vijnanamaya koshas and that these disintegrate progressively back into the Anandamaya kosha or Causal body:
Hislop: Does man have three bodies?
Sai: Yes. Body, Mind and Soul. Physical body, subtle body and causal body. On death, the physical and subtle bodies disintegrate, but the causal body remains.
-Conversations with Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba (CWBSSSB) p.79
"The food sheath, life sheath and mind sheath are impermanent. The intelligence sheath and bliss sheath remain. The body is mud. Out of the mud everything grows. Only the body dies. Life and all the senses merge into mind. Mind merges into wisdom. Wisdom merges into bliss, into God."
(CWBSSSB p.79)
"There are five sheaths within which the I shines. Of these, the Anna-maya kosha (the material sheath), is the gross body. The subtle body consists of the next three sheaths, Prana-maya (the vital sheath), Mano-maya (the mental sheath) and Vijnana-maya (the intellectual sheath). The causal body is the Ananda-maya Kosha (bliss conscious sheath). Even this is a limitation, a phase, a characteristic. The I has no such bounds or bondage. The guru who can make you cognise this I is your own mind. Turn it towards Intelligence and Ananda, you are in the right path; turn it towards the vital, the material, you slide down the path of perdition." (SSS 11.44)
Mr Narasimhamurthy doesn’t agree when Baba says that the ‘I’ or Atma is beyond the limitations of the subtle or causal body. He says that his 'subtle body' Baba has taught him that we are really just the subtle and causal bodies:
"We are really the subtle body and the causal body. Physical body is only our dress. See this is what Baba is telling us that is truth also. And Baba is in the subtle body also and there He appears in deep meditations and visions and He can guide you."
(Mr B. N. Narasimhamurthy, Souljourns interview (26 min mark), January 2013, https://vimeo.com/97850716)
And while Baba says that the subtle body consists of the Pranamaya, Manomaya and Vijnanamaya koshas, Madhusudan, speaking as 'Sukshma Baba' contradicts Baba and claims:
"Then there is this Subtle Body, which consists of manas (mind), buddhi (intellect) and chitta (memory). These three constitute the Subtle Body; and then there is the Atma, which is further beyond."
(Madhusudan Naidu, talk in America on 20 June 2015)
Who are we going to put our faith in? Given a choice between Sathya Sai Baba, the omniscient Avatar whose words never fail, and Madhusudan’s ‘Sukshma Baba’, who constantly contradicts both Baba as well as himself, I choose to place my faith in what Sathya Sai Baba said.
"Then there is the Subtle Form, Sookshma Shareera, which is the mind, with feelings and thoughts - just like the Physical Form, minus flesh and bones."
(Madhusudan Naidu quoted on http://sssset.edu.in/devotees)
The cornerstone of Madhusudan’s claims is Baba’s existence in this subtle body, yet Baba said that the subtle body disintegrates after the death of the physical body.
Even if we disregard this (and Swami said not to disregard His teachings!) Madhusudan’s ‘subtle body’ version of Baba can’t even seem to make his mind up on what his subtle body is composed of. And Narasimhamurthy claims that this ‘subtle body’ Baba has taught him that we are really just the subtle and causal bodies!
I repeat: Who are we going to put our faith in? Given a choice between Sathya Sai Baba, the omniscient Avatar whose words never fail, and Madhusudan’s ‘Sukshma Baba’, who constantly contradicts both Sathya Sai Baba as well as himself, I choose to place my faith in what Sathya Sai Baba said.
