Madhusudan’s predictions fail again…and again…Why?
Long term observations of an International Devotee
In imitation of Sathya Sai Baba, Madhusudan claims “My words do not fail. What I will, must happen.” Despite this, his words keep failing and his predictions fail to happen on a regular basis.
In March 2020, Madhusudan made his most recent failed prediction. He predicted that the Coronavirus pandemic would disappear within 2 months. Since the US President had said something similar around the same time, perhaps Madhusudan is a Republican? Who knows? But what is certain is that this is far from his only failed prediction. Madhusudan has made several predictions over the years which have completely failed.
Read on to find out more about Madhusudan’s Coronavirus prediction as well as just a few of the other failed predictions he has made recently.

Failed prediction 1 – the Italian ashram
During his visit to Italy in 2015, Madhusudan visited the town of Cisternino. While there, he predicted that it would become a huge spiritual centre for the whole of Italy and that people from all over Italy would flock there. He predicted that Cisternino would be so important to his mission that Prema Sai (whom Madhusudan hilariously claims he will need to train, so that Prema Sai will know how to be an Avatar) would make the Cisternino ashram his home in Italy. He predicted that his followers would build a large temple and many rooms to accommodate devotees. He also predicted that when he returned the following year there would be a huge hall ready for him. His predictions failed. The following year, Madhusudan’s prophesied hall had not been built. Instead, the meeting had to be held in the Lo Smeraldo hotel in Cisternino.
Madhusudan then claimed that Swami was predicting through him that his followers in Cisternino would build a mansion for him there, as well as one for Tigrett and Narasimhamurthy. Unsurprisingly, many of his followers in Cisternino quickly realised that they were being deceived and Madhusudan was not what he claimed to be. They left Madhusudan and came back to Swami.
This is why it is so important to trust Swami and His teachings before trusting Madhusudan or anyone who makes claims like his. Swami wanted nothing from us but love. Unlike Madhusudan, who asks his followers to build ashrams and properties for him all over the world, Swami taught that properties are not proper ties. He said very clearly that He had no interest in buildings or property:

At a meeting of the Central Trust yesterday, I told the members including Sri Indulal Shah, that I had no interest in property. Do not involve me in any connection with these properties. I do not wish to have any connection with money or property. My only concern is with my devotees. Telling them all this, I signed the papers.

Swami does not require any shrines. Swami is not interested in real estate. All that Swami wants is you should serve the society with bliss and without selfishness.

Embodiments of Love! Develop love in you. Bhagawan needs no temples or rest houses. The temple of your heart is more than enough. Bhagawan shall stay happily therein. The news that I get from those so-called temples is highly distressing to Me. The amount of anguish that I undergo because of these is beyond your imagination.

Madhusudan’s ex translator in Italy also left him in February 2020, after realising that Muddenahalli was a scam. He saw through the hypocrisy of Madhusudan telling his followers to reduce their desires and live simply, while at the same time sending his followers into debt by making them pay for his first-class flights and private jets.
We see here in this image Madhu stepping out of his private jet, while in great contrast Bhagavan is meeting fellow travelers and devotees in the economy section of a commercial flight He was taking. For more information on Madhusudan’s expensive first-class flights, please see the following article on this website:
So, what happened with Madhusudan’s prophesied ashram at Cisternino? Despite his claim that Swami predicted these things through him, there is no ashram at Cisternino, no hall and certainly no mansions built for him. None of Madhusudan’s predictions about his ‘ashram’ there have come true.
Failed prediction 2 – the Spanish ashram
During a public programme in Spain in October 2016, Madhusudan was asked a question by one of his followers who was involved with the planned ashram in Cisternino, Italy. This person was planning to move to Cisternino to be close to the ashram. She expressed her concern that Madhusudan’s predicted ashram in Cisternino had not been built when he said it would. She also expressed concerns about ‘devotees who get lost along the way,’ referring to Madhusudan’s former followers in Cisternino who no longer believed his claims.
Ironically, Madhusudan mocked her in front of the audience, saying that she was worried about the delay to his prediction. Proving that he has no ability to predict the future, he promised this person that the ashram in Cisternino would definitely be built and told her to move there so she could be close to the ashram. Then, Madhusudan said that within a year there would be an ashram in Spain as well and that it was part of his ‘Master Plan.’
We already know that Madhusudan’s prediction of an ashram in Cisternino completely failed. But what about his ashram in Spain? Was it completed in 2017 as he predicted? No. Madhusudan’s prophecy that his ashram in Spain would be completed by 2017 has completely failed.
Almost four years later, there is still no ashram in Spain. During his visit to Spain in 2019, Madhusudan told his followers that his next visit would be held in his Barcelona ashram in 2020, however his European tour was cancelled because of the Coronavirus pandemic (which he also failed to predict). Muddenahalli’s Spanish website says they are still trying to find a suitable farm near Barcelona so that they can buy it and turn it into an ashram for Madhusudan. So much for Madhusudan’s ‘Master Plan.’

Failed prediction 3 – the Australian ashram and other failures
In 2014 Madhusudan predicted that he would come to Australia at least once each year. Let’s see if that came true. He also predicted to V Kumar that there would be 300 young adults at his first retreat in Australia. But only between 300-350 people came, of which only about 50 were young adults. Of those 50, the vast majority have left Madhusudan and returned to Swami.
Madhusudan returned to Australia in 2015. In his first talk to his followers he told them to purchase a property in the town of Murwillumbah, which would become his ashram in Australia. He predicted that this ashram would expand out into the surrounding properties and become much larger and that in fact the whole town would become his ashram! He also predicted that a hospital and many other things would be built there. The ashram was purchased in 2017 (his followers are still paying off the almost million-dollar mortgage), however as for his other predictions – after five years, none of them have come true.
Next, Madhusudan predicted that he would visit Australia in September 2016. He also predicted that 1000 people would attend his Australian retreat. What was the result of his prediction? The Australian government would not issue him a visa to enter their country. And as for his prediction of 1000 attendees, less than half that number came to the retreat. In a major embarrassment, his followers had also coerced 100 local non-devotees into coming to the event to meet Madhusudan. When Madhusudan failed to show, the embarrassed organisers had to explain to these people why their ‘omnipotent guru’ couldn’t even get a visa to enter the country. How did Madhusudan explain his failure to get into Australia? He blamed his followers for it.
Madhusudan then promised that he would come to Australia in 2017. Once again, the Australian government denied entry to him. This didn’t stop his followers from breaking the law to hold a gathering at the property they had bought as Madhusudan’s ashram. A gathering which still only attracted half as many people as the previous year. For full details, please see the following story: https://thetruesai.weebly.com/gigantic-failure-in-australia.html

In 2017, Madhusudan predicted that his followers in Australia would quickly receive approvals from the local council, so they could build a large event hall and accommodation blocks on his Australian ashram property. He also predicted that these buildings would be completed within a year.
The result? Madhusudan’s prediction that it would be completed in one year failed. It took his followers two years to even send the building proposal to the local council. According to the ashram’s neighbours, Madhusudan’s followers deceived them to make it appear that they had agreed to the building works. Madhusudan’s followers then submitted a massive building proposal that included constructing an event hall and accommodation blocks at the ashram.
The ashram’s proposal was quickly denied by the local authorities, but not before the actions of Madhusudan’s followers enraged the local townsfolk and brought Swami’s name into disrepute in the local community. For details of Madhusudan’s latest failure in Australia, please see the following story: https://thetruesai.weebly.com/complete-victory-in-australia.html

But this most recent failure should not have been a surprise to his Australian followers. By last year, they had already experienced five years of Madhusudan’s failed promises. During his first visit to Australia in late 2014, Madhusudan predicted that his followers would build 50 schools in Australia, within 7 years. Five and a half years later, not even one school has been built, let alone completed. Madhusudan’s ‘infallible divine will’ has consistently failed them.
Failed prediction 4 – Madhusudan Naidu’s European Vacation
During 2019, Madhusudan frequently predicted that he would come to Europe in early 2020. He promised his followers that they would not have to come to him, because he would come to their countries. His first stop was to be in the Ukraine on 27 March. From there, he was to visit the rest of Europe, including Croatia, Turkey, Italy, Switzerland, Germany, France, Spain and the UK.
The result? Coronavirus arrived and Madhusudan’s entire trip had to be cancelled at the last minute. While he claims to know the future, it is obvious that he couldn’t predict that Coronavirus would sink his plans for a European tour. Just two weeks before travelling to the Ukraine, Madhusudan was forced to issue a humiliating retraction of his promise, via his personal assistant, Bhuvana:

Official news from Bhuvana and Swami today ...
Sairam dear brothers and sisters,
A very good evening. Further to my conversation with each one of you now, I am writing this mail with a sad heart to inform that Swami’s trip is being postponed because of the current global situation of Corona Virus. The revised dates for the trip is being worked out right now, and it will be end of August. I will come back to everyone in the next couple of days with the revised itinerary.

In an email to his followers in Europe, Turkey and the UK Madhusudan then admitted that he had been forced to cancel the tour and acknowledged that it is his followers who had made all the arrangements for his flights and accommodation. Sadly, even though it was cancelled due to Madhusudan’s lack of foresight, his followers in those countries were still left to bear all the expenses of his failed tour.
Failed prediction 4 –
Madhusudan predicted Coronavirus and says it will end within 2 months?
Madhusudan’s most recent failed prediction, was during an ‘interview’ with some Italian followers in Muddenahalli on March 19th. One of the ladies in the ‘interview’ asked Madhusudan when Coronavirus would end. Madhusudan’s prediction was "About 2 months later it will (be) finished”.
But now, more than three months later, Coronavirus is worse than ever - despite Madhusudan’s prediction. There are now over ten million cases worldwide and over half a million people have died as a result of the virus. Even if we assume that he was only talking about Coronavirus ending in Italy, this prophecy has still failed. There are still over 14,000 cases active in Italy.
To add insult to injury, Madhusudan prophesied in early 2020 that ‘good people’ have nothing to worry about as they will be protected from this virus. Remember that Madhusudan has repeatedly claimed that his prophesied disasters would kill off all of those who were evil. Now the claim is made that this pandemic is one of the disasters which Madhusudan predicted. So, according to Madhusudan and his followers, those hundreds of thousands who have died were bad people? Were in fact, evil?
People’s fathers, mothers, sons and daughters, including all of the medical staff who have lost their own lives while trying to save the lives of others? Perhaps some of those people who have died are known to you who are reading this. It seems that, according to Madhusudan, these people were all evil and had to die before his ‘new age’ could arrive. Think about that for a minute. Does that sound like Swami to you?
Swami in fact said the exact opposite. He said that in this Avatar, the wicked would not be destroyed, they would be reformed and transformed through love:

The undeniable fact is that Madhusudan failed to predict the arrival of the pandemic. Now, his prediction from the 19th of March, that it would end within 2 months, has also failed. He insults the memory and the families of those who died, by implying that those who died were evil and needed to be killed off so his promised golden age could happen. For further details of his failed predictions about his European tour and the end of Coronavirus, please see the following story:
Failed predictions 5 - the USA
In 2015, Madhusudan attempted to recruit Dr Michael Goldstein, the former President of the Prashanti Council, by offering him the position of secretary to Madhusudan. Madhusudan met with Dr Goldstein and claimed Baba was predicting that he would finance and build a hospital for him in Ohio, saying that Dr Goldstein had lived in Ohio for a number of years. Dr Goldstein has never lived in Ohio. He left the meeting in disgust, saying that Madhusudan’s claims are a complete lie.
In December 2015, Isaac Tigrett aired Madhusudan’s prediction that he would soon build a casino in Los Vegas, claiming that Swami was asking for this casino. Again, his prediction failed and almost five years later, thankfully there is no casino. This is a prediction that Sai devotees are particularly happy has failed. Swami consistently condemned gambling in the strongest terms, throughout His entire life. To claim that a casino was built at His request would be an absolute desecration of His Name, His teachings and His legacy.
Then, in 2016, Madhusudan’s followers in the USA circulated the news that Madhusudan had predicted Hillary Clinton would be the next president of the USA. Well, we all know how that particular prediction turned out! Why then did Madhusudan predict this? Because it seemed like a safe bet and he thought that this prediction would come true.
In Boston in June 2019, Madhusudan predicted that his hospital in Fiji (which his Fijian group has been soliciting donations for: https://thetruesai.weebly.com/divine-sankalpa-vs-loans-scamming.html), would be finished by April 2020. In fact, he even told his followers in Boston that they should all book tickets to fly to Fiji for the inauguration, which was to happen from 24-28 April 2020. Madhusudan was so certain that he would be in Fiji in April 2020, that he even told them that he looked forward to seeing them them there! What further proof would anyone need that Madhusudan had no idea that the Coronavirus pandemic was coming?
Now here are the facts. In response to Coronavirus being declared a pandemic, the prime minister of Fiji closed their borders to visitors from the USA on 19 March. And as for Madhusudan’s prediction that his hospital would be inaugurated in April? It is over two months past the date Madhusudan predicted, yet the hospital still isn’t even complete, due to a constant stream of obstacles which Madhusudan also failed to foresee. Madhusudan’s prediction has failed yet again.
During his talk in California in 2019, Madhusudan predicted that he would return to California in 2020. His visits usually happen in June of each year. But on the 4th of May 2020, Madhusudan’s donation collection website in America, the Divine Will Foundation, sent out a message that his visit to America had been cancelled due to the Coronavirus pandemic. No new date has been given. In other words, another of Madhusudan’s predictions failed.
Interestingly, in his talk in Boston in 2019, Madhusudan mentioned the fact that his predictions keep failing. What excuse did he give for this? He again blamed his followers. He said that his predictions fail because his followers aren’t doing what they are supposed to. Did Swami ever need to resort to such excuses? No.

Is Madhusudan actually making predictions?
Many, many more examples of Madhusudan’s failed predictions could be given, however perhaps this is enough for now. But the question has to be asked – is he actually making predictions at all?
Madhusudan claims that he is one with Swami, but the simple truth is that Swami was not so fallible. He knew past, present and future and behaved accordingly. When Swami predicted that a huge mandir would be built for Him on the hill in Puttaparthi, it happened. When Swami predicted that people from all over the world would come to Puttaparthi to see Him, it happened. When Swami predicted the Super Speciality Hospital in Parthi would be built within a year, it happened within a year.
The failure of so many of Madhusudan’s prophecies make it clear that Madhusudan is not Swami. He is merely a person who is imitating Swami. Since he is only pretending to be Swami, he does not know what is going to happen. At best, he is only making guesses.
Madhusudan’s followers are now attempting to claim that he predicted the Coronavirus pandemic. The truth is that Madhusudan has never mentioned anything about a pandemic in any of the vague ‘prophecies’ he made in Italy in 2015, nor has he mentioned a pandemic in any of his subsequent prophecies. In fact, he told his followers that they should all congregate in his ashrams for safety when these disasters start to happen. Huddling together in one location with a whole lot of other people, some of whom may already have the virus, is possibly the least safe thing anyone could do in a pandemic. So no, Madhusudan didn’t predict the pandemic. The truth is that he made rather nebulous prophesies with no specifics, Predictions that wars, conflicts and natural disasters are going to happen over the 15 years from 2015-2030. If this is what Madhusudan calls making predictions, then by his own standard former President George W Bush is a better prophet, because he specifically predicted in 2005 that the world would face another pandemic.
Simple fact: mathematical probability says that at least some of Madhusudan’s predictions must inevitably come true. That doesn’t mean that Madhusudan can see the future. Yet Madhusudan tries to hold up his few correct predictions as proof that he can. But again, simple math tells us that the more predictions he makes, the greater chance he has of getting about half of them right! So, Madhusudan continues to issue predictions, particularly where he thinks it is a safe bet. And when it comes to predictions, what safer bet is there than something that is statistically certain to happen?
Madhusudan is betting on certainties, not making prophecies
Let's be clear here – Madhusudan’s claims that there will be wars, conflicts and natural disasters between 2015 and 2030 are NOT a prophecy. They are a statistical certainty. Has there ever been a 15-year period in recorded history without wars, conflicts and natural disasters? There were over 100 wars and conflicts during the 15 years from 2000-2015 as well as over 350 riots. There were 5746 natural disasters within the same period (https://www.statista.com/statistics/510959/number-of-natural-disasters-events-globally/?fbclid=IwAR1RcW7gogog-ah018dXwx3HD94TbCMuhTgVbAqtZcLLrJScNMtlzgjEyU8).
Saying that there will be wars, conflicts and natural disasters between 2015 and 2030 is like predicting that the sun will rise tomorrow! It is not a prophecy! It is a simple fact! Of course there will be wars, conflicts, violence and natural disasters during that 15-year period, just as there have been in every preceding 15 year period! Madhusudan is merely banking on the statistical certainty that these events will happen. Then, when they do, he claims that he predicted them due to divine power. Why? Madhusudan is issuing these predictions in order to manipulate his followers into believing his claims. Why? So he can divert their devotion away from Baba and turn it toward himself. He is banking on his followers’ blind willingness to believe that his ability to ‘predict’ things which are already certain to happen, is proof of his claims. He is also banking on his followers not finding out that this is what he’s really doing. But now you know.

DO YOU SEE THE PATTERN?
For those devotees who are still following Madhusudan – are you seeing the pattern here? If not, here it is:
1. Madhusudan makes predictions to induce you into believing his claims.
2. Madhusudan knows some of his predictions will come true, not because of any divine power, but because simple mathematical probability says it’s inevitable that some of his predictions will come true. But he’s counting on your willingness to believe it is proof of his claims.
3. As you have seen now, many of Madhusudan’s specific predictions have failed spectacularly. This is because he is not what he claims and cannot see the future. He’s just playing probabilities, like a gambler. And when his predictions fail, he blames you, his followers for it, rather than the fact that he was trying to deceive you.
4. Madhusudan knows that mathematically, the more predictions he issues, the more chance he has of some coming true. Especially if he predicts events which history has shown are already certain to happen.
5. So, he also issued vague, non-specific prophecies about events which were certain to happen anyway. He did this because there is no chance that he could get it wrong. He predicted that wars, conflicts and natural disasters would happen over the 15-year period to 2030. That’s not a prediction – it is a statistical certainty! These events have happened in every 15-year period in recorded history.
6. By telling you that those who don’t understand his teachings, those who are not pure enough and those who ignore his commands will die in these disasters, he’s using fear to manipulate you into staying with him, despite the growing doubts his followers have about him.
7. Madhusudan knows he is deceiving you and he is counting on you not waking up to what he’s doing. Because without the support of people like you, his whole scam will collapse. It is you who have the power to end Madhusudan’s deceptions.

What would this mean for Madhusudan?
No more private jets. No more helicopters. No more first-class flights and world trips paid for out of the pockets of his followers. No more expensive cars. No more money rolling into his trusts, no more being worshipped as Swami. No more ashrams all around the world. Swami never wanted anything to do with these things and made that clear. But Madhusudan wants them all. He is terrified of losing your adulation and all of these luxuries. This is why he always looks so fearful in public and why he is willing to use fear to control you.
What does this mean for Madhusudan’s followers
Madhusudan’s followers may not like these facts. Some may try to shut them out and ignore them. But, in the words of Aldous Huxley, “Facts do not cease to exist because they are ignored.”
For their own spiritual welfare, Madhusudan's followers need to start asking themselves three questions:
1. Why do his predictions about specific events (like his ashrams) keep failing? Especially since history has shown that they are left to pay the bill and in addition, blamed, when his prophecies fail.
2. Why did Madhusudan feel the need to claim he was predicting the future, while predicting things which are already certain to happen?
3. Why Madhusudan or his proxies keep asking them for money for his projects, even though he claims that he is one with Swami? Swami never needed to ask for even a paisa to achieve all of the astounding service projects he gifted to humanity. Why does Madhusudan?
It is certainly necessary for their spiritual welfare to start asking why Madhusudan’s teachings and actions are so different from those of our beloved Swami. Because his followers want what all devotees want – to draw close to Swami and to merge in Him. But Swami said that those who follow imitators like Madhusudan are actually turning away from Him and following after falsehood:

Some others are swept off their feet by hysterical demonstrations by certain weak minded individuals who are described as My speaking through them or acting through them! Take it from Me, I am not given to such absurdities! I do not use others as My media; I have no need to. I do not swing from side to side and prattle! Why, even those who torture their bodies and suffer the pains of asceticism for years until ant hills overwhelm them and they become as stiff as tree-stumps find it difficult to realise the Lord. How then can these idlers, who eat their fill and wander about as slaves of their senses, earn that status so cheaply? Their gestures, words, and actions are hollow and vain; those who burn incense before them and revere them are turning away from Me and running after falsehood.
How can the Full ever dally with the paltry and wear the habiliment of the trifling? When God has come assuming form, take it from Me, it will not fill inferior vessels or embellish tawdry stuff or enter impure bodies. So do not extol these falsities and ruin those unfortunates. Deal with them severely, and they will be cured. Those who have seen the brilliance of the diamond will not be misled by glass trinkets. The Lord is like the diamond, call it by any name. But a trinket cannot be turned into a diamond, however loud the praise and however adamant the claim.

The facts speak for themselves. Madhusudan claims to be one with Swami, but his prophecies repeatedly fail and his claims and actions contradict what Swami taught. Therefore, those who have placed their trust in Madhusudan face a very real danger. The danger that they are being deceived by Madhusudan. That he is not who he says he is. That they are following a person who is inflating their ego rather than destroying it, by telling them that they are special and chosen and more spiritually evolved than other devotees and that they are the ones who are really running Swami’s mission. That they are seeking liberation from a person who is unable to grant it to them. That they are being led away from Baba, by someone who asks them for money by making claims which Baba Himself condemned as demonic:
In the name of Swami, there are some people who collect money saying that Swami has possessed them, speaks through them and that He has given power to them. There cannot be more demonic acts than this. Neither I enter anybody nor do I tell anyone to act on behalf of me.

The number of people following Madhusudan is dwindling as devotees gradually wake up to these facts through Swami’s Grace, and realise they have been deceived.
But Muddenahalli is a severe test for all devotees. Will we be deceived into turning away from Sai and following after falsehood? Or will we remain faithful to Swami and gain liberation? Because Swami predicted this test and Swami promised liberation to those who passed it:
- They realised that believing Madhusudan meant staying with someone they no longer trusted.
- It means continuing to witness the self-aggrandizing publicity of supposedly selfless service projects.
- It means being asked to believe things contradicting Swami’s teachings, while being fed ego inflating claims that they are purer and better than everyone else.
- And it means enduring frequent requests for money while watching Madhusudan’s prophecies fail.
But Muddenahalli is a severe test for all devotees. Will we be deceived into turning away from Sai and following after falsehood? Or will we remain faithful to Swami and gain liberation? Because Swami predicted this test and Swami promised liberation to those who passed it:
“I am starting a Seva Samithi. The persons who become members of this Samithi and perform selfless service will be liberated from the cycle of birth and death; not only they, but also their children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. But the test will be severe. I will see how many will withstand this test and emerge victorious in the end.

Remember that Swami said that He would never abandon you. Sathya Sai, like a patient mother, waits for each of Madhusudan’s followers with a smile on His face, His hand outstretched to help them and love shining from His eyes. Those who truly want to pass His test, those who truly want the liberation He promised, need only turn back to the true Sai. The Sai who still waits for them. The Sai who never asked them for money. The Sai who asked us for nothing but love.
